HED Track Wheels

Stiff, aero, light. That is the skillset that the best track wheels need. Naturally it is how we build Hed track wheels. With over 20 years experience and the fastest road wheels in the world, we have aero nailed down. Translating a fast road wheel to the track took some work – we ended up building our own track hub. The Hed track hub has super smooth bearings, just like our road hubs, but the balls are larger, so they can stand up to the force of a full on elbows out, bike pumping, head down, bell lap sprint. For maximum stiffness, the stout flanges are spaced close to the outer locknuts and spoke hole diameter is 62mm. The wide flange spacing and spoke hole diameter increase spoke triangulation to stiffen the wheel laterally.
