Hed Black Dog Drop Aerobar

It should go without saying that Hed’s aerobars are extremely aerodynamic, but we’ll just lay it out: they are, even by themselves. But, position and power are where races are won or lost. Like fingerprints, no riders have the same optimum TT position, so we offer three base bars, three t extension bars, 3 axis adjustability for armrests, and 2 armrest mounts, plus width and angle micro adjustability. Maybe not quite as many possible positions as there are fingerprints, but pretty damn close.

Drop base bar for a lower, more aggressive climb and start position. Molded in ergo grips. Built with integrated carbon brake levers with return spring and interior brake cable routing.

Torque specifications are for DRY bolts. Do not grease aerobar bolts.
Dry Bolt Torque specs:

  • Part #10803A - Upper bar clamping screw. 60in/lb, 6.8NM, 5 ft/lb
  • Part #10804A - Lower bar clamping screw. 30in/lb, 3.4NM, 2.5ft/lb. Wait 5
    minutes, retorque to same value. Wait 5 minutes, retorque to 40in/lb,
    4.5NM, 3.3ft/lb.
  • Part #10805A - Extension clamp pinch bolt. 40in/lb, 4.5NM, 3.3ft/lb.
